B.C'S Short Term Rental Restriction

If you are planning on staying at a short-term rental property, you will need to ask your host if they are in compliance with the new province restrictions! Host's can be fined up to $10,000 for not following the new rules, renter's will not have to pay these fines.

Start May 1st, 2024, British Columbia has introduced new rules on short-term rentals to principal residences. This is going to affect 60 communities with 17 additional that volunteered to be apart of, however, regulations on these 17 communities are set to come into affect November 1st, 2024.
